Workshop packages
Available for workshops from as young as age 11 and up! We are all students of writing!
Workshop A : 45-65 minute, $200
Workshop B : 120 minute, $400+
Workshop C : workshop series. $700+
A series entails holding at least two separate sessions. Can expect for attendees’ work to be edited between sessions and receive feedback.
Individual workshops can be performance based — Attendees can expect to participate in interactive performance exercises as well as learn techniques on how to convey their own works.
They can also be writing intensive — We will edit each other’s work and dive into how to build solid poems.
Prices vary based on size of size, length, and frequency of workshops. Base price are for workshops with 10 students or less.
Coaching
Mariah M. has an extensive record in building, coaching and consulting for slam teams. From 2012-2014, M. started the North Carolina intercollegiate slam circuit based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as Artistic Director of The Rejects, a cross-cultural spoken word and service organization, and was on the first iteration of the UNC Slam team, The Wordsmiths (placed 6th at CUPSI in 2013). They were also Coach and Slam Master of the Blackspace Poetry Slam Team and series in Durham, North Carolina, and took the first and only youth slam team out of Durham to Brave New Voices in 2017.
