Ecclesiastes 3:5-6

After Alexis Pauline Gumbs

There is a time for everything

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing

a time to search and a time to give up

Now, there is time and then, there is time

Gems excavated from grottos that weren't bothering nobody

Scattered across nations that weren't bothering nobody

Now is a time for gathering and learning about the chalk drawings on cave walls. Mending takes time. Time is relative

There is time and then, there is time

When the Sky weeps, you weep too. The Sky is your relative.

Give when you can and don't when you cannot

When you envelop your relative, they may feel trapped. When they feel trapped, they may grow antsy of being human.

Now, there is time and then, there is time

You can scour the lands for answers if you’d like but if God doesn't want you to find them, you won't

Don't you dare go flooding your ducts due to failing. You were supposed to fail

Sunbeam when you see the power of rain and how clean you've become

There is time and then, there is time

Now is a time for gathering and learning about the chalk drawings on cave walls

Give when you can and don't when you cannot. Mending takes time. Time is relative

Make a mantra of the sky and look for you and only you.

Don't worry. You have time.
